Supply Chain Pioneer Award

This award promotes greater lateral and expansive thinking in supply chain management. It will reward a company that has thought “outside the box” when solving supply chain challenges or driving value through the supply chain. Possible areas in which such excellence can be achieved include co-ordinating business functions across the supply chain and developing mutually beneficial ways to strengthen supply chain relationships. Businesses will be rewarded for delivering success through pioneering and original supply chain techniques.

Best Value Chain Solutions Provider

The judges will be looking for examples where solution providers have demonstrated excellence and innovation in addressing a significant supply chain challenge; the results of which can be quantified and proved to be sustainable in terms of cost savings, revenue and customer satisfaction. Aspects of clearly defined service standards and suitable remedies, as well as the ability to provide bespoke solutions for unique challenges outside the traditional domain of complexities will be expected.

Sourcing Excellence Award

This award recognizes sourcing and procurement as a vital strategic lever in the twenty-first century enterprise, driving business forward into the economic upturn. The judges will be looking for evidence of best-in-class strategic sourcing, where businesses have been able to realize substantial cost savings and generate value for the enterprise through innovative and effective supplier relationship management, successful risk management techniques and consistent ethical practice.

Best Collaborative Practice Award

This award recognizes a company or partnership for its achievements in driving supply chain excellence through collaborative frameworks, resulting in improved business performance. With a focus on shared problem-solving using a new process or technique, this award celebrates a true partnership, especially at the relationship-trust level. Both sides must have gone beyond the terms of their contract to help and support each other; sharing risk and reward, as well as each other's resources to produce substantive results with commercial potential/application.

Green Supply Chain Award

Recognizing the bottom-line value that a “green” supply chain delivers, this category rewards those companies which have demonstrated unparalleled performance in environmental supply chain planning and execution. This will include compliance with regulations, minimizing waste from the supply chain process as well as the overall adoption of green practices across the supply chain. Entrants will need to illustrate success in cutting their carbon footprint, in turn presenting how they have transformed the green agenda into a business opportunity to drive profitability and deliver value. Additional value will be placed on efforts to roll out the sustainability initiative on a global basis across multiple plants.
