This award promotes greater lateral and expansive thinking in supply chain management. It will reward a company that has thought “outside the box” when solving supply chain challenges or driving value through the supply chain. Possible areas in which such excellence can be achieved include co-ordinating business functions across the supply chain and developing mutually beneficial ways to strengthen supply chain relationships. Businesses will be rewarded for delivering success through pioneering and original supply chain techniques.

Aspects of clearly defined service standards and suitable remedies, as well as the ability to provide bespoke solutions for unique challenges outside the traditional domain of complexities will be expected.
